Ordering & pricing

  • How do I order from you?
    • Go to our contact page and click Contact Us  submit your artwork and we'll give you a quote. If your art is too large to send (exceeds 5MB), you can use the free and easy service wetransfer.com or yousendit.com to our email address at art@core2print.com. You'll be able to send us files up to 2 gig.
  • Do you have any minimum order requirement?
    • 12 pieces is the minimum, except for sample. Please Contact Us for sample rate.
  • What is a turn around time?
    • Once the artwork is approved, normal turn around time is 7-10 business days, except for large orders.
  • Is there a setup/screen charge?
    • Yes there is a charge for pre-production preparation from film output to the preparation of the screens.
  • Why am I charged for an extra screen when I print on a color shirt?
    • When print goes on a colored shirt, the print colors will blend in with the base garment color. It's like painting a new color to your existing color. We need to paint a primer to cover the old paint first then, apply another screen called "base white" to cover the shirt color. The "base white" screen will be the additional screen for us. Most other shops charge an extra 10% to 25% "flash" charge, but we don't.
  • What happens if I need my order rush?
    • Rush service is available for an additional cost. The cost varies on the type of project. Please consult with one of our representatives.
  • How do you determine screen charges?
    • Each screen represents one color on most occasions*. Add one extra screen if your request requires us to print on a colored shirt.
Send us your artwork and we'll review and provide you a full breakdown of costs. (*Half-tone and special effect screens. Extra screen charge might apply)
  • What if I need a color change?
    • One color change (one screen) will be free of charge. Each additional color will be charged $15.
  • What is embroidery digitizing?
    • Digitizing, also called "Punching", is the method to convert artwork into a recognizable machine format so that the embroidery needle will precisely coordinate the sewing.
  • How is embroidery priced?
    • Embroidery is based on stitch count. Our embroidery experts will optimize your design to the lowest stitch count but ensure you will get the best result. Please Contact Us your design and quantity, and we will provide you an estimate ASAP.
  • Do I need to pay tax?
    • All products and services requires 0.6% NJ sales tax. If you are a reseller, you can send us your tax exemption.

Design & Preparation

  • What are the formats you accept?
    • We are accepting all major graphic formats supported by adobe.com such as Photoshop, Illustrator, TIF, BMP, EPS, DCS, PDF or etc. For high quality result, we recommend your artwork to be at least in 200 dpi in resolution and the size of the artwork should not be less than 35% of the actual print size. If you have any technical questions regarding your artwork, please feel free to Contact Us.
  • How big can you print?
    • Our machine can handle prints up to 17" wide and 22" high. Larger print area will be available soon. Please call.
  • What if the file is too big to send in email or upload?
  • Why are JPEG, GIF, PNG and Microsoft formats not preferred?
    • JPEG, GIF and PNG formats are web formats that compress the files in portable size. Due to the compression, the quality is degraded so much that most of the details are gone. Microsoft Word, Excel and Point point formats are not preferred since they are inconsistent with font and position.  Please click here for more details on "Understanding graphic formats"
  • Do you provide art service?
    • Yes, we can provide art receation, color separation and design service.
  • What is color separation?
    • Color separation is a process extracting individual color from the artwork in a lightness value.  Each individual color will export to film then screen.
  • What is halftone?
    • Halftone is the reprographic technique that simulates continuous tone imagery through the use of dots, varying either in size or in spacing. 'Halftone' can also be used to refer specifically to the image that is produced by this process.
  • Can you do 4 color process?
    • Yes, we can. The 4 color process is a complicated process and require more time and effort to make it right. For textile printing it can be used on white textile.  Minimun order is required. Please consult with our design team for more details.
  • Why is my art print in 4 color process on paper but it needs more colors/screens for screen print?
    • Sometimes when artwork has a large flat color area, it is better to add an extra color/screen. Flat colors always give a crisp edge, whereas blended colors create a fuzzy edge.
  • I have a photo and some texts in my design are 1 color. Why do you need 2 screens for the job?
    • When print goes on a colored shirt, the print colors will blend in with the base garment color. It's like painting a new color to your existing color. You need to paint a primer to cover the old paint first. We will need to apply another screen called "base white" to cover the shirt color first. The "base white" screen will be the additional screen for us. Most of other shop charge extra 10% to 25% "flash" charge, but we don't.
